Help us to improve Skin Deep by contributing clinical photos

We are looking to build up our image bank and would love to receive your submissions. Please note that we do not provide medical advice.

You will need to provide the following info for each image: the diagnosis; a brief patient history (but exclude any identifying information). DFTB collects and uses your personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

We expect patient consent to have been obtained for teaching, research, and publication. Our consent form may be used – you can see it here.

When submitting the images and checking the boxes in the form on the right, you are confirming that you have read and agree to both consent and licensing (see full terms at the bottom of this page).

Here are our tips for taking a good quality photo

  • The better the device used for taking the photograph the better. If you have a DSLR camera at your disposal then feel free to use it! Otherwise the camera on your mobile phone should be more than appropriate
  • A nice, bright environment where we can see the rash clearly is a great start.
  • Although it can be tempting to zoom in on the rash, it’s actually easier for out editing team if we can: see what part of the body the rash is on; and see a bit of the background.
  • If the picture is being taken in a clinical setting then make sure there are no name bands or identifiable details in the picture.
  • We understand getting children to stay still for photos is difficult at the best of times so please don’t worry if your pictures aren’t perfect! We value each and every submission so please send through anything you think would be useful.

Consent

By submitting the image above you confirm you have read and agree to the following:

  1. I confirm to Don’t Forget the Bubbles Limited that: (a) any information relating to photographs or other material uploaded or supplied for upload by me to the  https://dftbskindeep.com/ website (the “Content”) is correct; (b) as far as I am aware no other person’s consent is required to enable the use of the Content; and (c) (where applicable) I am entitled to act on behalf of any child under 13 named below. 
  2. I agree and acknowledge that any personal data contained within the Content or submitted by me can be used by Don’t Forget the Bubbles Limited in accordance with, and subject to my rights under, the privacy policy set out at https://dftbskindeep.com/privacy-policy/. 

This form shall be governed and interpreted in accordance with English law.

License agreement

By submitting the image above you confirm you have read and agree to the following:

  1. I hereby grant to Don’t Forget the Bubbles Limited (“DFTB”) an unlimited, perpetual, irrevocable, transferable, sublicensable, royalty-free, non-exclusive, worldwide licence to use, copy, modify, edit, publish and distribute any photograph or other work uploaded by me to DFTB’s website (“Content”).
  2. I hereby agree that DFTB may retain, use and edit all or any part of the Content in all media including on the internet without a fee being due to me and without limit of time provided that DFTB does not intentionally distort or misrepresent the Content.
  3. I acknowledge that DFTB shall not be liable for any loss, damage or injury suffered by me in connection with the Content other than death or personal injury caused by its negligence.
  4. I hereby warrant and represent to DFTB that I am entitled to grant DFTB the rights in the Content set out above.

This licence shall be governed and interpreted in accordance with English law.
